Cupola Side Table by Million
Cupola Side Table. The table borrows its name from the cupola crowning cathedrals and palatial buildings around the world. In similar fashion, Cupola Side Table is crowned by a marble plate that appears to float on its aluminium collar and intersecting transparent glass components.
The aluminium collar is both constructive and decorative, while the glass components slice into each other to form a cross. Cupola is elegant transparency in aesthetic and construction made in high-end materials based on the motto ‘What you see is what you get’, even if Cupola Side Table does play a trick on conventionalism by turning gravity on its head, as the transparent elements form the heavy base, and the heavy element appears to float.
