Gunnar Flørning drew the first sketches of the sparrow in 1958. Inspired by the house sparrows outside his factory window, the little social bird full of ingenuity and cheerfulness infatuated him, but he had a hard time trying to capture the elements in a drawing. One Fall afternoon he finally succeeded in making a perfect sparrow which, despite its size, is glowing with confidence.
