B stands for bench, and J83 stands for kinship with some of the most iconic chairs in the history of FDB Møbler: Jørgen Bækmark’s J80 and J81 dining chairs, as well as the J82 lounge chair – or armchair, as it was called back in the 1960s. The bench is the long version of the J83 stool; it is 1 m long and can be used in many other contexts. As with the other chairs in the J80s range, it provides a comfortable seating position and, as a piece of design, it has proved its qualities over generations.
