It can be tempting to leave the cutting board out on the countertop when it’s as decorative as Choptima. It just so happens that the series is actually designed to be left out on display – in a holder so elegant that you can even let the cutting boards air dry in it, so there’s no need for the tea towel. The Choptima series comes in three carefully selected sizes, and with all three you’ll have everything you need for all daily food prep tasks, whether you’re slicing herbs, chopping vegetables or cutting bread.
The chopping boards are made from a recyclable material that is particularly resistant to moisture, which makes them highly hygienic and easy to clean. The holder also helps to improve hygiene, as the chopping board can go directly in the holder from the dishwasher, even if it is damp. The grooves in the holders ensure air circulation between and under the chopping boards, so you can leave them to dry in the holder.
The set comes with a smart holder with a focus on both storage and hygiene. It keeps the cutting boards together without them taking up much space on the kitchen table, and is designed so that you can put a damp cutting board directly in the holder. The cutting boards stand at a small distance from each other, and at the bottom of the holder there are grooves which ensure good ventilation and thus hygiene, e.g. if the board is still damp when it is put in place. The boards can be washed in a dishwasher.
The chopping boards are solid and 1 cm thick, making them less likely to twist out of shape. The surface is matte and thus more non-slip than a smooth surface, just as cut marks are less visible.
