The IJhorst side table, designed in 1954 by artist Constant Nieuwenhuys, marks a turning point in his career: the transition from his Cobra years to the beginnings of the visionary New Babylon project. 

With its slender frame and pure lines, the table is a timeless design cherished by vintage design enthusiasts. The base, constructed from thin steel wire, elegantly reveals the interplay of tension and compression. This distinctive structure captures the spirit of the 1950s while retaining a remarkably modern presence today.
