Since 1960 dyrlund has been manufacturing furniture of the highest quality for both home and office in Denmark and exported our products to many countries around the world.
About the Designer
Kurt Østervig: 1912 – 1986. Furniture architect. Kurt Østervig has worked with many of the big furniture factories throughout Scandinavia. Today some of his designs are manufactured by dyrlund.
In the 60’s one of Kurt Østervig’s designs was accepted for exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Kurt Østervig qualified as a ship building engineer at Odense Stålskibsværk, which soon lead to his employment as a furniture designer at E. Knudsen’s Design Studio in Odense, one of the leading companies in furniture design during the 30s and the 40s. In 1947 Kurt Østervig established his own design studio.
