Tana Wall Mounted Nightstand by New Works
Tana is a series of wall-mounted furniture pieces designed by architect Rikke Rützou Arnved. What they all have in common is a simple expression that is neither disturbed by handles nor suspensions, but where straight lines and clean surfaces are allowed to stand in their undisturbed form. Tana consists in its cornerstone of surfaces in wood that find each other in an effortless encounter. The horizontal surface creates a ledge for objects, while its vertical surface frames and forms a calm, coherent background for what you place on the furniture. The front is extended to form a handle for the drawer, allowing the surface to remain completely clean. Inside there is space to store the belongings that you need at hand, e.g. next to the bed, the sofa, along the wall in the living room, in the entrance hall, or wherever an elegant storage solution is needed.
