PH 3-2½ provides a diffused, comfortable light for your outdoor enviroment. The luminaire has a beautiful black powder-coated finish, designed for outdoor use with ingress protection IP44. The luminarie is easily mounted on the ground with the base plate for surface mounting. PH 3-2½ Bollard lets you experience the perfect combination of function and danish design outdoors.
PH 3-2½ Bollard is a member of the three-shade family, Poul Henningsen did not just design a light, but an entire system – around a thousand different models have been produced over the years. This wide selection consisted of table, floor and wall lamps, as well as a number of different chandeliers. Poul Henningsen was the first person to pursue a scientific approach to light and use the logarithmic spiral as a basis. The even light distribution, together with the diffuse reflection through the shades, made it possible to control glare and shadow.
Light concept
The fixture is based on Poul Henningsen’s renowned three-shade system. It reflects the light downward while also emitting a soft glow around itself. The pale-rose-colored, mouth-blown, opal-glass shades are glossy on top and sandblasted matte-opal white underneath, which results in a gentle and poetic light.
